The Old Saw
(

My version of "the old saw" goes like this:
Those who can, do.
Those who can't, teach
Those who can't teach, administrate.
Those who can't administrate, legislate.
This was especially poignant since I attended a land-grant university whose administration fell under the state legislature.

It is amazing to see students who have been learning for sixteen years and STILL can't tie together a logical train of thought, isn't it?

Oh, I don't know about that. If someone likes studying, and does it for sixteen years, then it logically follows that they like trains. Right?
