Thing the first: Can't wait for Chapter 8.

Thing the second: Fictionpress seems to have mangled what HTML you had.

Thing the third: Are you familiar with Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series?

1) cool, I'm working on it. (Been hitting a dry point on the comics, trying to get my creative ju ju flowing again with this.)
2)Yeah, Gotta go in and remove those tags.

3)Yeah. If it's the one I'm thinking of.... People have this "lovecraftian horror" fetish thing these days. a good urban fantasy/horror myth isn't GOOD enough for them, they've gotta ramp everything up to Ludicrous Speed and ram Cthulhu down the audience's throat with a railgun.

could we possibly get through ONE thriller story WITHOUT resorting to Dragonballing all the monsters to Cosmic Horror levels?

*shrug* I thought they were decent, but yeah. Even in his other series, Larry Correia doesn't do stories in which anything less than the fate of the human race is at stake. And saving the world apparently involves detailed descriptions of heavy weaponry.

They make the mistake of thinking that anything incapable of surviving a tank round to the chest isn't scary.
