Not that I'm disagreeing with any of the rest of your post...but how does the New Testament "fulfill" the old?

I think you've asked me this question once before. If you have I didn't respond it was due to lazyness on my part. Anyway, I'll keep this short so as not to clutter this LJ, but feel free to email me if you want to further discuss this matter.

The first scirpture that comes to mind is Matthew 5:7 wherein Christ says "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." (KJV)

Now there may well be misundersandings using the terms Old and New Testaments. What we should really look at here is the Old Law and the Covenent back then in realation to the New Covenent made by the Blood of Christ.

See, the Law, as it was given to Jews and followed untill Christ's death. Was imperfect. More than that Christ was the fullfillment of everything God had promised from Genesis on.
